Another Day, Another Ski Race ….. #BeLikeSam
The sun finally made its debut this winter and peaked out over the glistening snow-capped pine trees of Elk Mountain. Coaches and officials were mourning the loss of a much loved and long-time official Sam Ganow, who was known for the top quote. The bluebird days all weekend long were definitely sent from him, and his presence will be missed forever.
The JFBB U12 racers continued their quest for another epic day of Slalom racing down a steep, icy, and fast course.

After the first run the girls had 5 make the flip; Mackenzie, Reagan, Grace, Kylie and Erin.
The second run was a challenging course and Mackenzie J held on to secure her second podium of the season with a strong 3rd place finish.

Erin S and Kylie charged in their second runs to move up a few spots for 13th and 16th places.
Josetta, after a tough hike in the first run, laid down an 8th place second run and jumped up 15 spots to 22nd.
The U12 boys did not disappoint and were fun and fast to watch! After the first run, Noah, Julien, Elliot, Sawyer, and Preston made the flip for JFBB.
Noah W completed two amazing runs and earned his first podium of the season and can be officially known as the Elk Sl Champion! Congrats to Noah for 1st place. Our first year u12 boys had a strong showing and proved they are a force to be reckoned with. Congratulations to Elliot, Sawyer, and Preston who all landed in the top 20 respectively.

Something to note, Jack and Kellen are showing the world their speed and going full force… their times landed them in 1st and 2nd after the first run. Unfortunately, the times didn’t count as both straddled a gate, but be on the lookout for their crazy fast speed in GS next week at Camelback.
