Where to Find Equipment

There are quite a few places to find equipment. We strongly encourage you to shop locally for your equipment needs.

Development Team

Many ski shops offer Seasonal Ski and Boot Rental Packages including the JFBB Rental Shop. All the stores listed below have been very helpful with our younger skiers/racers. Particularly for our younger skiers/racers, it allows you to re-size all season. So if your skier/racer requires a different size boot or ski throughout the season, stop by the store for a refitting. Most of the seasonal rentals are of better quality than the standard daily rental packages. In the fall, many shops have gear swaps and tent sales. An alternative is to watch our team’s Facebook page for other families selling “hand me down” equipment that they can no longer use.

• In ski racing communities, used race gear retains value far better than recreational gear because it’s built to higher durability standards.
• Buying second-hand from other team families often means you’re getting equipment already tuned for racing, which can be a hidden bonus

Not all retailers carry race equipment but those that do, sell race gear for the lowest possible advertised price – which means you won’t find a lower price online for the same ski or boot.

For best service, we recommend you call in advance to make an appointment and mention you’re with JFBB Race Team.  That helps ensure the shop has someone with race equipment experience on hand to help you when you arrive.

Race equipment in the most popular sizes often sells out by mid-November.
